About Us
Our History
Norman Strain, University of Texas College of Pharmacy 1959, established Granbury Drug on the square in Granbury in 1962. Although we have moved locations a few times, we are still proud to be family-owned and operated. Todd Strain, UT College of Pharmacy 1995, along with his wife, Gamze Strain, R.Ph, still continue the family tradition of providing exceptional care to our patients. Todd and Gamze are proud to be preceptors for pharmacy interns from Texas Tech College of Pharmacy. You are likely to find at least two students here with us on any given day in addition to our regular staff. Granbury Drug is not just a business but an extended family; we strive to provide our patients with the best of care by taking good care of our pharmacy family as well.
Meet Our Team
Todd: Is a 1995 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, like his dad. He enjoys farming, baseball and traveling to see the Rolling Stones
Gamze: Raised in New Jersey, Gamze graduated from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy ’95. Gamze loves yoga, cooking, compounding and all things health and wellness.
Haley: Has is our store manager and has been with us since 2003. She is a Tarleton alumnus and despite that she is fully credentialed to teach school she chooses (thankfully) to stay here with us. Haley is devoted mom to Rendon and Haddie and beloved wife of Brandon.
Susan: Has been with Granbury Drug since 1996 and has worked in many capacities over the decades but focuses on administration and bookkeeping as she works toward retirement. She is active with her church, numerous community services, and Optimist Club
Anne: Has been keeping our lab running smoothly since March of 2019. She is married to Skip and their four handsome sons keep them busy full-time.
Winderlien: Joined our compounding lab in October of 2019. She loves preparing specialized medicines and feels that being able to compound is a blessing to her. We are waiting to celebrate when Winder and Chase tie the knot since they’ve been dating for over five years.
Cara: Cara bird, as she is affectionately known here, joined us in January of 2019 and has a heart full of love for our patients AND photography! Family portraits and birth announcements are her specialties.
Cortnie: Greets our customers with her beautiful smile and friendly face to make prescription pick up a breeze since August of 2019. She is proud mom of Regan, Brit and Paisley, wife to Jake and “Coco” to be!
Judith: Is a certified pharmacy technician and joined us in August of 2020. Her kind demeanor and eager to help attitude ensure our patients know they are loved.
